Quick random poll...

If you were a female, on your own, and you saw me lurking in the shadows, wearing a trenchcoat and carrying a bundle of stuff under my arm, would you be really really REALLY scared?

Yes there is a story to this. Was picking up stuff from Megs place last night and had a few things to pop in the back of the car. Well, the car from the people in the other part of the house had pulled up. Since they had to walk around the back of my car, which is where I had to go to put the things in, I decided to wait for them first. This may have been interpreted as lurking. I had left the door in the fence open since my hands were full on the way out. This turned out to be important for the sole occupant of the car. I didn't realise quite what was going on until she (I hadn't even noticed gender) dashed out of the car, powered through the door, firmly closing it without losing speed, and scrambling in through her front door. My first thought was "How rude. Didn't even say hello." This was soon enough replaced with "Ooops. I'm being scary again aren't I?"

It's okay, Mr Snerg. I think all our partners look scary in the right light.

Start taking up cross-stitch on the train. I think that took the scary curse off Topsy in his youth... (and surprised any police that wanted to hassle him...

"What's in the bag?"
"My embroidery."
"Yeah sure.... Oh... It is embroidery.... Sorry sir, on your way..")

hmm a tall man lurking in shadows wearing a long black coat and whose physicality owes much to his mobster forebears... yup, probably being scary ;)

(it's ok, we all know you are a big teddybear - but you don't always LOOK it ;))

I had this sort of experience after watching 'Silence of the Lambs' in the cinema (which give you and idea of how long ago that was).

As I left I inadvertantly took an exit that led to a set of narrow stairs and a locked door i.e. no way out.

It seemed that some lass has done the same thing a minute earlier. She'd just reached the bottom of the stairs, found it locked, and turned about as I entered the top.

Well, I don't know if I'm that scary (although I'll admit to being scruffy, with a small 's'), but she screamed when she saw me.

I think she was just tense after the movie. Anyway, I just said 'Sorry, I'll go this way', did an about faceand left.
