Beef jerky vs roasted nori

Jalepeno flavoured beef jerky pitted against chilli roasted nori snack this afternoon as my snack food and although I suspect both of them are novelty items only and not real food, the jerky seemed slightly better. Just had to put that down in writing.

In unrelated news I now own one of those funky push-mowers (those unpowered ones with the rotating barel of blades). I didn't even know they made them anymore!

Cool. I think we need one of those. Or maybe we'll borrow yours. Wheredja get it? How much?

Got it from Bunnings... they had about 4 models, varying from $50-$100. I bought the $80 based entirely on the tires (rubberish rather than entirely plastic toy looking like the others). It seems to work reasonably well too! The section with blades was sealed for freshness....

How much effort is required to push it? We need to do something more premanent with our lawn, since borrowing S&G's mower doesn't seem to be working often enough.

Amount of effort depends on how long it's been since you've last mowed, and what kind of grass you have. We have kikuyu grass which hadn't been done in a while and it was quite a workout. On the bright side, the lawn clippings don't smell like fuel.

I pushed around today on the stuff Snerg mowed last week (before the rain caused it to grow again ;)) and it was REALLY easy. Basically no effort. And the clipping can be composted/fed to pigs with no worries at all. Genius.
