They've tasted grass and they want more.
more! mwuhahahahahahaha!do they freak out at the long grass? I mean, I know they want to eat it, but it's tall and scary too. it's a jungle out there!
They don't really seem to be scared at all. They do seem to enjoy the hunt. When they pounce on a large blade of grass, they'll bite it at the easiest to reach head level to break it off, then slurp it up like fettuccine.
it's the word 'pounce' that doesn't seem to match a piggly-pig
that's because it's not physically possible.
do they stick their bum up in the air and wave it around like cats do when they're hunting? It's to distract the grass from it's untimely doooom
I'm sure they could, they just choose not to...
it would be undignified
...and we can't have that.
They live for the rush of adrenalin when they outsmart their prey... and the occasional agony of defeat.
